New to Wall Slicks? Need some direction or ideas? Here are a few tips for applying our decals, as well as some ideas
|
|
Cut decals apart. |
Tape the decals up
first. Use Spacer Dots
at key spots of the
decal to "remember"
the placement you
want. |
Peel the backing away,
leaving the decal
adhered to the clear
top sheet. |
| |
|
|
|
Place the decal. Rub
over the surface with
your applicator tool. |
Peel away the top
sheet, smoothing
it down and off of
the decal. Use
applicator tool if
needed to hold down
parts until you have
pulled past them. |
Use applicator or
fingers to smooth
decal down. Remove
Spacer Dots.
And you are done! |
| Architectural Detail |
 |
As architectural detail, to improve furnishings you
have without risk of ruining them:
- Use instead of traditional wooden furnishings, such as a
headboard or dresser mirror.
- Use on door panels, cabinets, and furniture to make them look
more detailed. Use instead of chair rail, wainscoting, and molding.
Embellish existing moldings and paint treatments with decals of
accent colors to give the illusion of more detail or more ornate.
- Use inside shelves to create dimension and design in an
unexpected place.

Instructions: |
 |
Our graphics are so easy to put up, anyone can do it. But beware
some of the fancier designs can be tricky if you don't follow the
instructions. So read on for a successful project.
Please make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying
decals. Do not install in temperature below 50 degrees or higher
than 95 degrees. |
- Choose the look you want to achieve with your graphics. Cut
apart individual graphics.
- Before removing any backing, use scotch tape to place the
graphics on the wall/surface where you want them.
- As you take the graphics off to prepare to place them
permanently, use the spacer dots as placeholders for your graphics
placement on the wall/surface.
- To remove the white backing from the graphic: Lay the graphic
face down on a level surface. Peel backing away from graphic,
making sure the graphic stays adhered to the clear liner. For
intricate areas of the graphic: Use the applicator tool to hold
down the graphic while the backing is removed.
- Apply graphic with clear liner onto wall/surface. Smooth
entire surface of graphic to wall, using your applicator tool,
working from the middle outward, to smooth out bubbles.
- To remove clear liner from wall/graphic: Slowly peel the liner
downward off of the wall/graphic. For intricate designs, use the
applicator to hold the graphic in place while peeling away the
liner.
Repeat directions for each decal. And you're done!
Note: Modern Wall Graphics have been tested on and successfully
removed from many surfaces. Due to the variety of surfaces, we
cannot guarantee that our decals will adhere to all surfaces. Please
follow our guidelines for installation and have fun with them!
